Daylight Through My Window

A still-life series, uncovering the humble beauty in seemingly mundane moments. These paintings celebrate the colour sensations created by changing daylight as it interacts with the surfaces of everyday objects. I painted small canvases, rendering them in painstaking detail, compelling the viewer to pause, pick up a magnifying glass, and step into the world of the painting, thereby making an active choice to be fully present in that moment, in the world I've created for them to enjoy.
